Fall 2012 Intern, Hari Wong

10/3/2012

Picture
I recently joined Boston Area Gleaners, Inc. as the Marketing and Media Intern. I will be working mainly on various marketing initiatives to promote and enhance BAG's presence in the social media through our website, Facebook, Twitter, etc. I will constantly keep everyone posted with what is happening on BAG. So get ready people!

A little bit about me, I am originally from Indonesia, an archipelago country in Southeast Asia. I lived in Singapore for 2 years before I transferred to Bentley University as a Junior. I graduated with BS in Managerial Economics and currently on Bentley's MBA program with dual concentration in Management and IS&T.

My interest in BAG is sparked by terrible state of the food system and huge disparity between the wealthy and the poor in developing countries, especially in my own country where I spent the first 18 years of my life. I am eager to learn from BAG to have a better understanding of local food system and management of a nonprofit. In addition to that, I am thoroughly excited that I joined BAG during its busiest time of the year, with major events such as Giving Common and Food Day coming up in weeks! Apart from managing business & relations, I have interests in scuba diving, filming, and soccer as well.
